Great Miami River Clean Up

Clean Streams. Stronger Communities.

The Great Miami River Clean Up is a community-powered effort to restore the health and beauty of our local waterways. Each September, hundreds of volunteers fan out across Butler County to remove litter, tires, and debris from riverbanks and streams.

What to Expect.

Volunteers work in teams at designated cleanup sites. We provide supplies like gloves, trash bags, grabbers, and free t-shirts—and we welcome individuals, families, and groups of all ages. It’s a rewarding day with visible results: cleaner water, safer ecosystems, and a stronger connection to our environment.

Join the movement to keep our rivers clean.
