Butler County Children’s WaterFest

Learn It. Love It. Protect It.

Every fall, the Miami University Hamilton Campus comes alive for the Children’s Water Fest, a fun, hands-on event that’s been inspiring kids for over 25 years! Hosted by dedicated volunteers from the Hamilton to New Baltimore Groundwater Consortium, nearly 1,000 local fourth- through sixth-graders explore water, wildlife, and the environment through dozens of 30-minute workshops—inside and outdoors.

Kids dive into interactive activities, meet live birds of prey from Raptors Incorporated, and learn from local experts including the Cincinnati Zoo, Newport Aquarium, Ohio EPA, Ohio DNR, and more. The festival highlights the importance of water and protecting our precious groundwater while mixing science, music, and lots of fun.

Supported by area water suppliers and local agencies, and hosted with the help of Miami University Hamilton Campus, the Children’s Water Fest is a unique opportunity to explore, learn, and celebrate water—all while discovering a beautiful campus and making lasting memories.
